Nordmin Engineering Ltd. is presently looking to add to our Electrical Engineering group and is accepting applications from qualified candidates for the following position:
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING INTERN
JOB SUMMARY
This position will have the opportunity to gain experience and develop design skills under the guidance of licensed engineers working on projects at all stages from conceptual through construction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for industrial projects.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications and documentation using software tools.
- Conduct engineering calculations, simulations and analyses to support project requirements.
- Support the development of proposals, study reports, engineering specifications, and contract documents
- Collaborate with Senior Engineers and drafting personnel to develop drawings.
- Coordinate with Structural and Mechanical engineering disciplines.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Registered EIT with the PEO is an asset.
- 0-4 years of experience.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Working knowledge of CAD based design software
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
